Experience a fun and memorable tribute to the Delta’s unique music and artists!

The Delta Music Museum is located in downtown Ferriday, Louisiana and is free to the public. The museum holds the distinction as the first Louisiana location marked with a Mississippi Blues Trail designation. The museum currently showcases 29 artists from musical genres of blues, soul, gospel and country. During the 1950s, these genres would converge in the delta to create the new sound of Rock and Roll and Rockabilly music.

Who We Are

The Delta Music Museum was first constituted in 2001 through a Cooperative Operating Agreement between the Friends of the Delta Music Museum and the State of Louisiana. The Office of the Louisiana Secretary of State operates the day to day activities of the Museum. The Friends Group is charged with the task of raising funds and supporting the facility's full time staff to make the Museum the centerpiece of Louisiana's music history and performance.
